Local today. Room to grow. This release works entirely offline and needs no account. Web apps, MCP access, and optional sync with Vigil Drive are planned for a later release.
At home on your desktop.
- Mac: open the DMG and drag the app into Applications. Choose Apple Silicon for M-series Macs or Intel for an Intel Mac.
- Windows: run the EXE installer. Choose ARM64 for Windows on ARM, or x64 for Intel and AMD.
- Linux: make the AppImage executable, then open it. Choose x64 or ARM64 to match your system.
Mac builds are ad-hoc signed and verified, including the mounted disk image. They are not Apple-notarized. Windows installers are unsigned. Every installer has a linked SHA-256 checksum.
Your files are the starting point.
Open a local Markdown folder or start with the included notebook. Notes stay as readable files. Recent revisions are kept locally, and a changed file is checked before it is overwritten.
Generated prompts are saved to Documents/Artemis Prompts by default. Show PROMPT.md, reveal the ZIP, or open its folder directly from the app.
An original application by VigilTech. Obsidian application code and community plugins are not included. Plain Markdown files from other note apps can be opened.
